3 Big Benefits of Double Sink Bathroom Vanities

Few bathroom features are as nice to have as double sink bathroom vanities. When it comes to your bathroom or kitchen plumbing you, first of all, want everything functioning properly. But if you’re like me, then beauty and your choice of aesthetic probably follow closely behind functionality. And there’s no reason you shouldn’t have both.

What are the benefits of having a double sink bathroom vanity installed in your home? Well, there are three key ones: Extra storage space, aesthetic beauty, and ease of installation.

3 BENEFITS OF DOUBLE SINK BATHROOM VANITIES

A double bathroom vanity can look a lot of different ways, and we’ll take a look at a few of those different types below. You have options when it comes to your space, but the following three things are true of virtually every professional installation.

Extra Storage

Who doesn’t want a little extra storage space in their bathroom? This is one of the reasons that double vanities are the way to go for so many couples. Most setups involve a small cabinet storage space underneath for all of your bathroom essentials. Bigger ones may even have full drawers for towels, extra shampoo bottles, or whatever larger items you need to store.

The only downside here can be counter space. Depending on what type of double vanity you go with, there may not be a lot of it. But aside from your budget, wall space is the only factor that will limit how big of a counter you decided to have installed.

Gorgeous Looks

Regardless of whether or not you wish you had a little more counter space, chances are you’re going to be pretty dang happy with your bathroom’s new aesthetic.

I mean… just take a look at the stark white and gold double sink vanity below.

…or this beautiful, floating double vanity.

…or lastly, this simple yet elegant dual-bowl vanity setup.

As I mentioned, there really are a lot of options. In fact, there are quite a few vanity types that I haven’t even listed here. It’s worth doing a little research to see what aesthetic you fall in love with.

Easy Installation

Installing double sink bathroom vanities isn’t particularly difficult in most cases. Obviously, you should know what you’re doing first, but anyone with plumbing training should be able to put one in for you in a relatively short period of time.

Perhaps the most important thing is measuring and getting the dimensions to fit the length of your bathroom wall. From there, the vanity base needs to constructed and positioned so that each bowl or sink lines up correctly with the drain that’s coming out of the wall.

Having braided hoses for this part makes the job easier, as they provide greater flexibility. Important note: If the drain is off from where it needs to be by more than four inches, the trap will NOT work. The center of each vanity bowl needs to be within four inches of where the drain exits the wall.

As long as your measurements are solid and your base is centered, double sink bathroom vanities are an easy installation.
